NEW - Follow us on
Well, Summer is here and we are busy mowing, watering, and (thank the good Lord), thinning our apples. By thinning, that means that the trees have too many apples--a very good problem to have--but they must be thinned in order to keep good size to the fruit and good health for the tree. We are also planting another 220 new trees, in our continued effort to expand the orchards here on the historic Los Rios Rancho.
We also have lots of great events going on and planned for the summer. Take a look thru the site and put on the calendar to come visit for our Movies on the Green in July and our Old West Weekend and Chuckwagon Show in August.
Don't forget about the ongoing events and activities up here at our sleepy little hamlet. The Wildlands Conservancy trails, are now open daily until 4:30 and if you haven't been up lately, the new additional trails are fantastic! Also, our regular monthly gospel night and contra dances are sure to keep you entertained.
Apples & Pies & Cider
We have apples, fresh-pressed apple cider and just-baked pies always at the ready in our Country Store. The shelves are chocked full of great gift items and jams and jellies and as usual our rockers on the front porch are ready and waiting.
Summer hours of operation: Wed - Sun, 10-5.
