Apple Butter Festival
November 29, 30 and December 1
Thanksgiving Weekend!
A Long Standing Tradition…
Our Apple Butter Festival is a tribute to a 16th century European Harvest tradition. Farmers would come together at the end of their harvest season and to combine the last of their produce for jamming to preserve their fruit for the winter.
It was a way of celebrating the change seasons, to say goodbye to Autumn and welcome winter. There was much music, dance, and feasting to be had!
We want to celebrate our own end of harvest by stoking the fires under our 100 year old copper pot and cook down the last our seasons apples and sweet cider.
