A fun and educational farm experience for our smallest learners

APPLE PICKING - APPLE AND CIDER TASTING - A VISIT TO OUR BARNYARD PETTING ZOO

 
 

As the largest and oldest apple farm in Southern California, Los Rios Rancho is the perfect spot for an education school tour! Children, parents, and teachers of all ages will learn all about apple farming, will get to taste apples and cider, and have a chance to pet and feed the farm animals at our Little Seedling Ranch! All information is below!

Tours available Sept-early Nov

WHAT’s INCLUDED:

  • APPLE PICKING: your class will visit one of the farms private apple orchards where students will learn about the seasons and farm growing practices. They will then get to pick their own apples straight from the tree

  • APPLE & CIDER TASTING: At this station your class will learn about Bees and their importance on the farm. They then get to try three different apples to see the difference in flavor. They will also get to enjoy a glass of fresh pressed cider

  • LITTLE SEEDLING RANCH: you will get to visit our barnyard animals and learn about the importance of livestock on the farm. This station is more free-form where students will get to explore our 1 acre fenced in miniature farm complete with bunny run, chicken coup, mini horses, mini gardens, and petting zoo

TOUR SPECIFICS:

  1. This is approximately a 1.5 hour tour experience but we generally recommend allowing up to 2 hours to be on-tour

  • 9:45 check-in

  • 10:00 start time

  • 11:30 end time

    2. This tour is designed for Kinder-3rd grade students. additional grade accommodation is up to teachers discretion

3. Your group will be lead by our farm tour guides through each station

4. We have extensive picnicking grounds where you can enjoy lunch following your tour

TOUR PRICING:

  • Our tour price is $22 per person (including parents and siblings)

  • All paid attendees will get to participate in each of the activities outlined in the “WHAT’s INCLUDED” section.

  • We have a $100 deposit to hold your booking date (this deposit is deducted from your tour balance)

  • We accept one complete payment for the teacher/booking coordinator. We cannot accept individual payments from parents.
